StressRedress by Mala – Onsite Massage Service
These therapies are ideal for the workplace, conferences, events, parties, rewards, festivals and product promotions. Mala can also provide of variety of other therapists to meet your needs for larger events.
Seated Acupressure Massage (aka on-site or chair massage)
This takes place fully clothed in a very comfortable ergonomically designed massage chair. The sequence has been designed in America specifically to address problems experienced in the workplace. It works on the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands and scalp. It is great for relieving aching shoulders and is helpful in preventing RSI type symptoms and physical stress caused by long periods spent in front of a computer screen.
Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage consists of a sequence of moves on the shoulders, neck, scalp and face. Indian Head Massage will not only relieve stress, it may also help; eyestrain caused by prolonged computer use, to reduce muscle tension in the neck and shoulders, and promote a feeling of well being, leaving you feeling invigorated and ready to face the pressures of the day. When your head feels good, you feel good.
These two treatments can also be combined for longer sessions. The length of sessions can vary from 5- 45 minutes according to the time available.
Correct posture, workstation set up, exercises and mental attitude are essential to minimise work related injury and give optimal performance. It’s an unfortunate fact of life that if you have got aching shoulders or a headache you will get tired more quickly and your quality of work will decrease. These workshops aim to combat and prevent tension and stress accumulating in the workplace.
They are suitable for teambuilding, away days and educational workshops. Workshops start from 1 hour in length
Shoulder release and relaxation
The shoulders and neck bear the brunt of intensive work in front of computer screens. Indian Head Massage
A fun informal workshop this is a great teambuilding opportunity that also teaches a new skill and encourages employees to look after their own health. Indian Head Massage is known as the Great Stress Buster. These simple techniques for the scalp and face can be used on yourself or others.
Aromatherapy for managing stress
This workshop explores how essential oils can be used to cope with different aspects of stress. Through active involvement participants will become familiar with several oils that are particularly helpful with dealing with stress related conditions such as insomnia, poor concentration, depression, low energy, digestive issues, headaches, anxiety and an inability to relax. Different methods of using the oils and integrating their use into everyday life are discussed. This interactive and fun workshop involves working in pairs or small groups. Ideal for teambuilding or wellbeing days.
